For us, it became a wonderful opportunity to see our everyday production processes through fresh eyes - full of the kind of curiosity and energy only children bring.

When the schoolchildren expressed their wish to visit not only an ice cream factory, but also our wooden house production, we felt truly honoured. Even though building a house is a complex and technical process - and the final result doesn’t appear all at once - we were delighted by how engaged the second-grade children were, and how thoughtful and logical their questions were. Some were convinced a house could be built in two days, while others thought it couldn’t possibly take less than three weeks. While chatting with little future engineers and craftsmen, we shared plenty of laughs and also had some really good conversations.

At the end of the visit, we watched with admiration as the children left the factory carrying pieces of leftover wood in all shapes and sizes. It was their own idea to take the pieces of wood with them - and they proudly carried their chosen “treasures” all the way to the bus stop, for future building projects and ideas. A truly inspiring visit - for them, and for us.
