When a Golf Course Becomes a Place to Live, Too
Do you think it’s possible to live on a golf course? It turns out it is! One of the most interesting projects in the construction industry that Dores has been involved in took place right next door, in Estonia.

The owner of the Tallinn Golf Club had a clear vision: to create an ideal living environment for the future - designed for modern people who love being close to nature, likely enjoy playing golf, and wish to live in a beautiful, impeccably maintained setting, within a small community of like-minded individuals. A scenic location was chosen, bordered on one side by the Baltic Sea coastal limestone cliff, on the other by the Jägala River delta, and with the golf club itself at the heart of it all - endlessly green, perfectly cared for, and rich in natural beauty.

This vision resulted in a unique residential village where leading architects from Estonia and other countries designed more than ten different houses, guided by three key principles: sustainable materials, CO₂-neutral construction solutions, and the latest technologies in architecture.
Dores Factory is also part of this exceptional project, as we produced and delivered the construction kit for Valge Villa, also known as the White Villa. Our team had the opportunity to visit this house as well as others in the Golf Club village, all of which were open to the public for two weeks. Nearly all of the homes were fully completed and ready for living.

The house exhibition attracted more than 10,000 visitors - some considering moving into the village, others seeking inspiration for their own future homes, both in terms of architecture and interior design.
An event like this offers a unique opportunity for manufacturers to showcase their approach to home production and construction, while future homeowners can explore and compare different local house producers in one place - experience materials, solutions, house designs, and layouts in a tangible, real-life setting. And perhaps even very quickly find their own dream home - already built, furnished, and ready for living, shaped by each architect’s and manufacturer’s best practices and vision of an ideal private home.
